The station launched on July 3rd 1975 and broadcast to the Nottingham area for over 35 years . It rebranded to become Capital FM East Midlands on Monday 3rd January 2011. However some of the jingles heard in this montage can now be heard on www.trentsound.com and http://www.radiotrent.co.uk - in particular Trent Sound have had many of the Alfasound jingles resung,with original singers Sheila Gott and Steve Butler recreating work originally done 30 yrs previously ! Jingles are by Johnny Arthey,Alfasound,Century 21 and JAM Creative Productions. "July July July" by Billy Paul.
